Katie Hathaway is a writer and musician based in Brooklyn. Her first feature film, a queer comedy, “Christmas on the Line” is currently in production. Her plays and musicals have been performed and developed at Ars Nova, Yale Institute for Music Theater, The Johnny Mercer Songwriters Project, Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, The Flea Theater, New Dramatists, The Bushwick Starr, Dixon Place, The Prelude Festival, NYMF, Joe’s Pub, and the BMI Musical Theatre Workshop. She is a MacDowell fellow, an alumna of Barnard College and received her MFA in playwriting from Brooklyn College. She is very gay and teaches choral music, songwriting and theater at Saint Ann’s School in Brooklyn Heights.
